Inflation Pressures, SnowAbstract
The paper describes a new apparatus for determination of the friction of pneumatic rubber tyres on snow at different loads for different inflation pressures. It is found that the friction decreases with increase of tyre size. It is also noted that the friction increases with decreasing the temperature below zero degree centigrade. Friction is found dependent on density and bearing capacity of snow. The results refer only to measurements at very slow speed.Downloads
