Abstract

An analytical solution has been obtained for the conjugated problem of heat transfer from an infinite vertical hollow cylinder offinite thickness to the surrounding infinite quiescent fluid, following astep change in either heat flux or temperature, at the inner surface of cylinder. The effect of various non-dimensional parameters on the velocity and temperature profiles have been exhibited graphically.
