The problems of thermal stresses for ovaloid and elliptical cross-sections have been solved by A.L. Florence, J.N. Goodier and G.C.Sih. In this paper the authors have generalised the results to determine the thermal stresses due to disturbance of uniform heat flow by an insulated hole of aerofoil cross section by making use of complex variable techniques.Downloads
