Abstract

The effect of the introduction of a gauze in a field of weak axisymmetric turbulence has been studied. Results have been compared with the experimental values obtained by Townsend and the theoretical results obtained by Taylor and Batchelor. The results obtained heregive a better fit to Townsend's experimental values.
