Abstract

Unsteady laminar flow of a dusty viscous incompressible fluid through the annular tube formed by two coaxial circular cylinders is discussed under two situation : (i) when the pressure gradient varies harmonically with time: and (ii) when there is an exponential pressure gradient. The flow through a circular pipe is obtained as a particular case, making the radius of the inner cylinder tend to zero.
