Abstract

The contact problem of two conducting plano-convex solids having different conductivities is considered assuming that steady state heat conducting takes places. The problem is formulated sos as to involved a pair of dual integral equations having Legendre functions with complex index. These equations are reduced to a single integral equation which is then solved iteratively. Lastly, the quantities of physical interest are found out.
