Abstract

Infections attributable to dengue viruses have been frequently occurring in India, as also in South East Asian countries. Benign clinical manifestations, have been rampant in this country. Various aspects of dengue infections in the context of India e.g., occurrence, clinical profile, viral isolations, serological surveys, pathogenicity and vector ecology have been discussed in the present review.
