Thermo-dynamic functions of T.N.T.
Abstract
The problem of calculating thermodynamic functions of a high explosive is really the problem of evaluating them for the complex assembly of' product gases, (for an explosive is no longer an explosive beyond a temperature of about 500°C) given by the explosive on explosion or detonation. ID view of the fact that the product gases have pressures and temperatures of the order of 105 atmosphere and 104o K respectively, an appropriate equation of sate has to be used for the calculations.
