Third training course in 'Indexing'

Abstract

The third training course in 'Indexing', organised by DESIDOC, was held at the Electronics Research & Development Establishment, Bangalore from 6 to 16 May 1981, for the benefit of information scientists working in DRDO Labs/Estts located in and around Bangalore. The Course was inaugurated by Dr. M. Krishnamurthi, Chief Controller, Research & Development. Dr. Ramdas P. Shenoy, Director, LRDE also addressed the participants on the occasion. Shri S.S. Murthy, Director, DESIDOC, in his address explained the aims and objectives of the Course. Besides the lectures and practical assignments, audio -visual demonstration of 'Science Citation Index' was arranged to familiarize the participants with this important information tool. Visits to information centres of LRDE and NAL at Bangalore were also arranged.
