Abstract

Indian Institutes of Technology are identified as premier institutes of higher education and research in Technology in India. Having common goal, there is a need for cooperation among the libraries of the IITs. To achieve this kind of co-operation, there is need to design and develop a unique type of library portals containing
resources and services of their individual libraries and also providing links to other IIT libraries. Further, there is also need to form an educational network specialized among the IIT libraries.
