Dear Colleagues,

DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology (DJLIT) is a peer-reviewed, double blind, open access, bi-monthly journal that publishes original research and review papers related to IT applied to library activities, services, and products. The papers included focus on aspects of exploring, applying, and evaluating new theories and technologies to create better automated libraries and enhanced library services using IT. It is meant for librarians, documentation and information professionals, researchers, students and others interested in the field.

You are invited to submit a paper for possible inclusion in a special issue of DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology (DJLIT) on Media and Information Literacy. The journal welcomes articles, in keeping with editorial policy.

The areas that may cover under the Media and Information Literacy but not limited to these following:  
  • Information Literacy and Media and Information Literacy (MIL)
  • Media and Information Literacy in colleges & universities
  • Lifelong learning – MIL and the role of civil society, media, social media, and public service media
  • Disinformation, Fake News, propaganda, and MIL
  • Promoting inter-religious and intercultural dialogue
  • MIL revolutionizing the learning process
  • Coordination and national policies concerning MIL
  • Evaluation of efforts, achievements, effectiveness of MIL
  • Media and Information Literacy Teacher training
  • MIL role in privacy and protection of personal data
  • Future of MIL: Innovation, best practices, challenges, the next step, etc.
  • Innovation, tools, state of the art technology to enhancing MIL
  • Global citizenship, human rights, radicalisation, extremism and the SDGs.

The authors have to submit full paper by e-mail to the guest editors along with the title of the paper, authors, and abstract. Also, a copy of the article is to be submitted at DJLIT online journal system available at https://publications.drdo.gov.in/ojs/index.php/djlit/index

All papers submitted to DJLIT are subjected to peer evaluation by the Guest Editor. Last date of submission of articles is 30 November 2020.
