Abstract : This review describes recent advances in optical fiber sensors for smart structures. After discussing the fabrication on technology and strain sensing of fiber-optic sensors in a brief introduction, the detailed accounts of signal processing techniques employed in them are given. The application areas of fiber-optic sensors are also described briefly with necessary references. Future trend of work is indicated in the concluding remarks. |
