Abstract : "Studies have been made of the corrosion inhibitive property of vapors of a number of organic and other types of compounds, assessed in an accelerated rough screening test simulating tropical and condensation conditions. The promising compounds were also subjected to a long term test in a tropic chamber. It has been found that a number of amines, nitro-compounds, ammonium compounds and certain acids and naphthols have excellent vapour phase corrosion inhibiting properties." |
