 | Steady Laminar Second Grade Fluid Flow Between Two Rotating Porous Discs with Moderate Rotation Author : Verma, P.D.;Sharma, P.R. Source : Defence Science Journal ; Vol:38(1) ; 1988 ; pp 87-97 Subject : 532.542 Fluid Dynamics Keywords : Perturbation technique;Reynolds number;Newtonian fluid Abstract : "The flow of a second grade fluid between two rotating porous discs is investigated. The equations of motion are solved by a regular perturbation technique for small cross-flow Reynolds number. The effects of viscoelastic parameter-alpha, suction/injection parameter-R and rotation parameter-beta on the velocity components, pressure distribution and skin friction have been discussed numerically and the results are compared to those of Newtonian fluid case. | MHD Free Convective Flow Past a Hot Vertical Porous Plate Author : Babu, M. Syam ;Varma, S. Vijaya Kumar;Pillai, K. Jagadeeswara Source : Defence Science Journal ; Vol:37(3) ; 1987 ; pp 327-332 Subject : 532.542 Fluid Dynamics Keywords : Suction velocity ;Perturbation technique;Viscous flow Abstract : The influence of the magnetic field on the free convective flow of a viscous fluid past a hot vertical porous plate is analysed under the assumptions that the suction velocity which is normal to the porous wall is constant and the wall temperature is spanwise cosinusoidal. The solution for the velocity, temperature, skin friction and rate of heat transfer have been obtained in dimensionless form by perturbation technique. The effects of different flow parameters appearing in the solutions have been studied on the above flow quantities. |
