Abstract : A method has developed for the simulation of third order systems with a lead and a time constant using only one operational amplifier. Three basic circuits each consisting of one operational amplifier, three capacitors and six resistors have been analysed and conditions of physical reliability discussed.

Abstract : The paper outlines a method for the simulation of third order linear systems with only one operational amplifier. A particular class of the general third order systems, that is, systems with a leading time constant is considered in this paper. A basic circuit consisting of one operational amplifier, four capacitors and five resistors is presented. The circuit is a analyzed and the conditions of physical reliability discussed and obtained. The design formulae and procedure are also given.

Abstract : This work presents a circuit for simulating fourth order linear systems using a single operational amplifier. Every one of the three forms discussed is illustrated by one arbitrary simple choice of circuit elements. Simulation is possible for only limited range of values of the systems parameters. The circuit can be extended, by adding more laterally inverted L sections, to simulate higher order linear systems.
