Abstract : A two dimensional pursuit-evasion game is studied using a kinematic model described by algebraic equations of motion. This is the first part of a study aimed at obtaining complete three-dimensional solutions for a full dynamic system including detailed aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft involved. Comparison with an existing method shows that substantial savings in computer time may be possible using the ab initio approach. |
