Abstract : An analytical solution has been obtained for the conjugated problem of heat transfer from an infinite vertical hollow cylinder of finite thickness to the surrounding infinite quiescent fluid, following a step change in either heat flux or temperature, at the inner surface of cylinder. The effect of various non-dimensional parameters on the velocity and temperature profiles have been exhibited graphically. |
